McHenry - you stumped us!

Skipping into Estes Park at Sat morning coffee at 9am and sauntering into the Glacier Gorge parking lot at 9:30 resulted in a lung pumping trek up to Black Lake in an effort to get to the fun stuff with time to play. Aaron and I charged to Black Lake quickly and began to toy around with some fun slabby ice and snow chutes. We then spied a sexy couloir on the east flank of McHenry and headed up. (Post-holing thru boulder fields and pine trees is no fun) Alas, our turn-around time called at 2:30 and we marched out to the car. 8.5hrs RT, 15mi+, and lots of new experience with snow and ice. Good times.
